My work is rooted in gratitude for the Creator, love of family, and respect for the stories carried through our Ojibwe heritage. I paint to hold a moment still, to honor the spirit within it, and to pass that story forward.

Rebecca Kummer is an oil painter whose work is guided by faith, grounded in Ojibwe heritage, and shaped by a deep love of family and the natural world.
In every portrait and painting, she looks for the truth beneath the surface: the dignity of a person, the memory held in a gesture, and the quiet evidence of the Creator all around us.
